My name is Shakari Echols. I am a 2012 graduate of Opelika High School. I received my Bachelor’s of Science from Auburn University in apparel merchandising. I am currently the Visual Merchandising Leader at Target.
My husband Brennan and I have two children, Sidney and Christian, whom we adore. My hobbies include sewing, fishing, singing and instructing liturgical dance.
My mentors include my mother Satrina Jordan, Courtney Berry-Cannon, Danielle Kelley, and McKenzie Shaffer. These women have influenced my growth as a young woman and instilled in me the tools to achieving any goal that is set before me. My mother has taught me the value of being a young, intelligent woman who believes that no dream is impossible to reach.
I believe that shaping the minds of our youth is a key factor in how they view obstacles in life. I am delighted to be part of a program that gives young men and women voices to impact the lives of our youth so that they can leave their footprints in society and impact the world.
